Leadscope, Inc. and Lhasa, Ltd Announce Collaboration on ToXML

Columbus, Ohio March 15, 2006 - Leadscope, Inc. and Lhasa, Ltd. are pleased to announce their joint support for ToxML, a public domain communication standard for chemical and toxicological data exchange. In order to promote the standard and to extend its coverage to new end-points, the companies will work together and collaborate with Leadscope customers, Lhasa Limited members and the wider scientific community.

Working to the ToxML standard will mean that users can move data not only between database management systems from the two companies but also across all platforms that support it. Loftus Lucas, of Leadscope, commented "With the increasing importance of data held by public bodies such as the FDA and EPA, scientists need to be able to move data freely between different platforms and be able to easily compare these regulatory data with their proprietary data. This standard means they will easily transfer data and will not be restricted to using software from one particular vendor." Philip Judson, of Lhasa Limited, said "The agreement makes an important contribution to Lhasa Limited's aim of promoting the sharing of knowledge between scientists."
